About :
Anyone who has tried will know, surfing is incredibly fun perhaps because it is so challenging. This is why spending time with a coach is so important. A good coach can not only demonstrate what to do but also assess your ability, recognise areas to work on and give you the knowledge to become the surfer you want to be.
Our coaching program goes beyond demonstrating how to ride a wave and gives you a comprehensive understanding of the following areas:
- How to pop up and use your body to control the surfboard.
- How to paddle effectively and efficiently.
- How to manage your board to get to the wave peak.
- Where to be in the ocean, how to pick the correct wave and angle your surfboard appropriately.
- How to perform turns, gain speed, exit waves and how to wipeout safely.
- Surfing etiquette, how to stay safe and feel confident in crowded waves.
- Local knowledge of the surfbreaks in the area so you can make the most of the islands waves.
We take a professional academic approach to coaching which stands us out amongst other surf schools.
All our lessons include all the equipment you need and will be tailored to help you achieve your surfing goals.
